Cummings thread 3) Senior Tory MPs who might be expected to call for Cummings to go a) are saying nothing publicly and b) in some cases defending him - arguing that in legal terms Cummings has a defence, and that in moral terms he does too.
Cummings thread 4) Whether you agree with that take or mot, the political consequence is clear: unless tomorrow's papers turn up something new, or more emerges in the next few days, Number Ten is well placed to ride today's storm out.
