We’ve been asking for WB to #ReleaseTheSnyderCut of #ZackSnydersJusticeLeague which is what Zack finished making back in 2017 before Joss took over. 2/11 Back in 2016, Zack pitched his first script for JL. WB deemed it too scary, asked him to change it. So he did, and they then agreed for him to begin production. Then, during filming, Geoff Johns hired a room of script writers behind Zack’s back - including Joss Whedon.

3/11 Subsequently, Geoff would then appear on set while Zack was filming presenting him with “alternative” script pages to film. The pressure mounted. Zack was gradually forced to make more changes, including the entire appearance of Steppenwolf to what we saw in Josstice League.

4/11 We have leaked scenes of pre-vis showing the old design. So they got at least that far before changing it. But Zack was gracious enough to accept these changes that were forced onto him and finished shooting in late 2016. Zack then had at least 6 months of post production.

5/11 Regardless of the fact that most blockbusters these days have a total 6-8 months of post production we also have photographic proof that by the time Joss took over in May 2017 Zack’s film was nearly finished. ADR was already recorded in Jan and colour grading was being done;

6/11 ...both of which are only started once the edit has been finally locked. Zack has said multiple times his cut was 214 minutes minus credits. Thus it is plainly clear that it was not just an assembly cut (and @jayoliva1 has confirmed this, not that it needed confirmation).

7/11 We’ve also had confirmation twice from @Junkie_XL that he had finished his score. But once Joss took over in May, Geoff asked him to rewrite the film so that it was much cheesier, and didn’t need a sequel. So Joss chucked out most of Zack’s script and wrote 80+ new pages.

8/11 So when we campaigned, we were asking for the 214 minute film that Zack so nearly finished making. In his words: “It’s done, minus a few CG tweaks.” That is the film we’ve been asking for. Despite the many compromises, it would have been so, so much better than Josstice.

9/11 Never in our wildest dreams did we expect WB to do what they just did. From what we now know, it would appear WB have allowed Zack to go & do whatever he needs to REVERT his compromised film (the 214min Snyder Cut) to what his true Justice League film should have been.

10/11 This includes reverting Steppenwolf back to the original design, and reshooting any scenes that had forced new dialogue from Geoff Johns’ writers room. Zack also wanted (but didn’t get a chance) to film a scene revealing Martian Manhunter. So this is what the money is for.
