Pardosa nigriceps
Hopefully most of us by now know that Lycosidae is derived from the Greek word "Lycosa" meaning "wolf". #TurnFear2Fascination #Educate and #LoveSpiders
Pardosa is derived from the Greek word "Pardos" meaning "panther/leopard"
Finally, nigriceps is derived from two Latin words "niger" meaning "black" and "cep" meaning head. So Pardosa nigriceps is literally a black headed panther wolf spider 😊
