I love riding my motorcycle. It brings me (and my dog) a lot of joy. I’ve trained so that I can do it safely, and I give back to the NHS with fundraising runs. I don’t expect non-bikers to feel the same way. But I would really like it if they stopped calling for us to be banned

...because they don’t agree with motorised transport; or because they don’t want bikes on the handful of green lanes we’re still allowed to use; or they think we’re “disgusting” or a drain on the NHS. Here are some other outdoor activities that involve a measure of personal risk

..horse riding. Skiing. Fell running. Mountain climbing. Paragliding. None of those are my cup of tea. But I’d like to live in a world where we share the outdoors with other people, not ban anyone we don’t like.
