I don't think that the vast majority of the public will even know who Cummings is & therefore the issue will not have great salience with them & as a consequence there will not be sufficient pressure on the Gov to act & therefore the most likely outcome is that nowt will happen.

I think non-political obsessives forget the extent to which the rest of the population could not give a f*** about politics. My wife is a professional woman, intelligent, two degrees, I had to explain who Priti Patel was and what her job is yesterday as we watched the briefing.

Most ppl dont follow the minutae of the daily political soap opera that we all follow. Most ppl on politics Twitter seem to forget this.
