Tomorrow is #Venezuela Eid.

A flotilla of 5 #Iran tankers w/ gasoline & alkylate (to improve the quality of domestic gasoline) for 1,800 gasoline stations starved, is approaching the Caribbean, with the 1st vessel expected to reach it tomorrow Sunday.
US sanctions prohibiting the sale of oil products to #Venezuela. US oil service providers ceased their operations in the country, contributing to the country’s oil collapse. Only 10% of #Venezuela capacity of 1.3 million barrels per day is delivered due to lack of refineries.
#Venezuela fuel produced is low octane as most of the country's alkylation units are out of service. Imported alkylate could improve the quality of domestic gasoline.
Venezuela has not only lost access to the US oil market but has also lost access to the US financial system.
Typical regime-chan ge: #US illegally recognised Juan Guaidó as #Venezuela’s interim president & hand him control of the nation’s bank accounts. #EU followed (obviously): European banks blocked all funds transfers requested by #Venezuela legitimate & elected President @maduro_en
#Venezuela was deprived from its ability to use the #US (and #EU) SWIFT or any payments system. Venezuela is unable to pay for imports because no financial institution will process a wire coming from a sanctioned entity. Even if it did, #US allowed Guaidó to seize that payment.
Notwithstanding #Venezuela being an oil-exporting country, most is produced using additives imported from the US (under sanctions). Companies stopped shipping oil products to Venezuela, making it impossible for the country to restore its stocks of fuels in the coming weeks.
#Iran, that defied #US hegemony since 1979, is rushing to support #Venezuela. Venezuela's refineries are in poor condition, unable to produce the necessary domestic gasoline. Iran shipped (via Iran's Mahan Air) technicians and spare parts to repair Venezuela' refineries.
#Iran challenge #US imperialism system trying to impoverish countries refusing to submit to its dominance. A week ago, the US Treasury depart blacklisted #China companies that provided #Venezuela w/ the refinery spare parts. Iran went ahead with supporting the people of Venezuela
#US sanctions don't hit the targetted country ruling system but above all the people. We saw that in #Iraq (food for oil programme) and we all remember US Sec of State Margaret Albright "We think the price (of 100 of 1000 Iraqi children dead) is worth it". We see it in #Iran.
Every time #US wants to change a regime, it creates more solidarity among countries and population who stand against US dominance. Now it is the turn of #Venezuela that is refusing to kneel in front of President Donald Trump and his administration. This is why #Iran is helping.
