/7 I am not the 14 year old ben shapiro neoliberal i was when i first joined the tory party. My economic views have lurched left, and my social views have lurched right. Bc of this I knew i was probably gonna leave at some point.
The reason i left now however is threefold.
/7 Firstly due to the fact that the tory party’s new wave of MPs, many of which are they inevitably going to hold senior positions in their lives, are a disgrace. God help us all if a certain few individuals get a cabinet role in the future.
/7 Secondly, the activism side as a whole of the party is rancid. The word careerism is thrown around very very often, but you could probably times the use of it tenfold. A lot of tories have no idea what conservatism actually consists of, and a lot more actively despise it.
/ They have only joined the party to climb & push others down. Thirdly, there is an elephant in the room in the tory party.
/ The level of not so legal behaviour that has been facilitated, partaken in or swept under the rug by the tory elite is bewildering, and whats worse is it seems to be completely unspoken, save for some hushed DMs. Not gonna say any more on that. You know what i mean.
/ Too many pretend the culture doesnt exist so that they dont get any nasty emails sent to them by CCHQ.
/ None of this is applicable to the vast majority of tories, but unfortunately those that dominate the higher rings of the party are disproportionately represented in these cases
