my theory of the night: zuko and mai had a daughter together (izumi) after years of breaking up and getting back together then finally realized they were NOT straight; they raised izumi together but mai went to ty lee and zuko went to sokka and everyone got together in the end

plus zuko and mai who are still best friends and probably soulmates of some kind still get to raise a child together as best friends which is so cool and they still also get to love who they want to which is so cool

also my one thing is that sokka never had recorded children or a recorded wife or anything so i’m just guessing him and zuko were together for years possibly until sokka croaked??? i feel like this is REACHING but we really have nothing to go off of canonically it’s insane

one day i hope to figure out the truth of their backstories and relationships.... i truly think from an outsider’s perspective that mai/ty lee were girlfriends and sokka/zuko were at the cusp of being boyfriends. with the live action remake i hope the creators expose everything

i will never be truly at rest with the avatar franchise until i know: WHO sokka married/dated/spent the majority of his life with, WAS zuko gay at all & if so WAS zuko gay with sokka, WHO is suyin’s father, WHO is izumi’s mother... there’s plenty more but those are my main issues

PLEASE may this 2 in the morning Twitter thread be worth something to where i can look back and think “omg she was right!!!” please can the creators just ANSWER THE QUESTIONS and please can sokka and zuko have been something?? it’s the kl*nce in me but the power they would hold..
