i’m re-listening to calm so here’s my thoughts (a thread because i’m emotional)

i’ve already listened to easier but red desert: idek why i never looked at it the way i just did but i actually understood the lyrics for the first time

no shame: still iconic as always. best single and best mv.

old me: the “ashes on the floor” line still hits me in a very different way. i love this song

easier: every single song on this album is so different and i cannot get over the artistry of this band. i love this song so much. hot take it was absolutely the best intro into the calm era.

teeth: WOOOO the bass. still shocks me. i didn’t like it until i heard it on the album but i think my brain was doing that so i could appreciate it properly.

i would like to preface that i’m sitting in the dark doing nothing but listening to this album

also as the child and grandchild of drummers i appreciate ashton’s drumming on a different level than any other instrument and WHOOO

wildflower: the harmonies still!! kill me!! i still see people treating 5sos like little babies and it’s hilarious because they write songs like THIS and y’all really think?? this song is gonna be so powerful live
