"Doctors Without Borders" was founded by 13 French doctors plus journalists who after their experience aiding Biafrans during the Civil War felt inspired to form the Organization.

Okporoko (Stock fish), saved many children from death. The protein, iron and oil components cured their kwashiokor.
Red Cross brought them from Norway.

It's worthy to note that the Int'l Red Cross played a vital role in saving millions of Biafrans from hunger during the unrest.
The unprepared Biafran Army gave the Nigerian Army a run for their money at the beginning, (Abagana ambush story was an example).
Under 3 years, they locally built Bombs (Ogbunigwe), amoured vehicles and tanks, air bomber etc, which was used as retaliation against Nigerian Army.

Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe (Owelle Onitsha) also served as a spokesperson for Biafra during the Nigerian Civil War.
John Winston Lennon returned his MBE medal to Queen Elizabeth II in protest against UK's support in the Nigeria-Biafra war.

Bruce Mayrock, on May 30, 1969 set himself ablaze in protest against Biafran killings.

Steve Jobs renounced his Christian faith to protest the same cause.
Lynn Garrison was a Biafran War Heroic Pilot who flew most of the toughest missions to neutralize the FG's Navy.
He's known for his often repeated comment, "If it has fuel and noise, I can fly it."

Dr. Akanu Ibiam also returned his knighthood to Queen Elizabeth II in protest.
Obafemi Awolowo masterminded the "Food as a weapon of war", he said "We should not feed our enemies fat so they may not rise to fight us again".

Bioko in Equatorial Guinea is today mostly occupied by more than 60,000 Igbo people who heavily fled for safety during the war.
Retired Lt. Fola Oyewole, a Yoruba Nigerian Military Officer (like many others), fought on the side of Biafra, he took a bold stand against the massacre.

Col. Victor Banjo, also sided the Biafrans. He was executed for a mistaken treason against Ojukwu.

Nigerian Soldiers invaded the University of Nsukka library, tore and burnt books saying "Na these books dem dey read, na why them know plenty".

Around July 1967, an informal group known as the Biafran Scientists at the UNN, renamed the school to University of Biafra.
The heat of the war made Igbo people in Rivers to deny being Igbo. They changed their names from "umuokoro" to "rumuokoro".
Many groups in Akwaibom, Benue, Cross River fought the Igbo people to prove that they were not part of the secessionists.
Yakubu Gowon acceded to a loose federation and stronger regions at the Aburi Accord in January 1967, but coming back from Ghana, his advisors dissuade him, getting the already infuriated and stubborn Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu to declare the state of Biafra in May.
To solve or mitigate the post war trauma, they began playing football tournament that gave birth to Rangers FC, Enugu.
Zebrudaya, alias 4.30, started his comedy here, making them smile again.
People's Club and Oriental Brothers Int'l Band were formed to restore joy and hope.
