Unpopular opinion: I enjoyed hearing Andrew Scott perform Mahon's poem. It's such a poetry scene thing to see someone enjoy inhabiting a poem & criticize them for doing it wrong

I like straight readings of poems, I like performed readings of poems, I like oblique readings of poems, I like queer readings of poems, I like understated readings of poems, I like camped up readings of poems

The gatekeeping around who is allowed to enjoy poetry and how is pretty gross too.

I should clarify: not saying you have to like the Scott reading We all have our own personal taste. My tweets were more a reaction to the gatekeeping attitude I've been seeing for a few days now.
