#Daechwita King with scarface

Many of you mentioned kdrama Scarlet Heart Ryeo, but Wangso's scarface is fictional setting. Also, I couldn't fine any resources that say kings shouldn't have any scars.

However there's an interesting story of King related to a scarface. (Cont.)

Yeonsan's mother, Deposed Queen Yun was a royal noble consort and became a 2nd wife of Seongjong. She had a bad relationship with mother in law & was highly jealous of Seongjong's life in palace with royal concubines.
One night she scratched king's face leaving visible marks.

Seongjong tried to cover his scar but his mother found out the truth, ordered Yun to exile. She was sentenced to death later. The king tried to hide her death from his son Yeonsan who was 7.
