A THREAD:

characters i headcanon to be on the spectrum!!

this is more of a vent thread?? idk, I'm suspecting ASD and these are characters that really helped me accept myself.

please, no hate. just ignore this if you don't agree! <3

#1: ENTRAPTA, SHE-RA (2018)

This was the first character that really made me realize I could be on the spectrum and that there are a lot of difficulties that come with it.

"I'm not good with tech, but I am good with people" is a line that hit me way too close to home. Love her.

#2: PERIDOT, STEVEN UNIVERSE

When I first watched the show, I was unaware of what ASD even was, but looking back, she's SO heavily coded and very beautifully so. She's someone I've always been able to relate to, with my empathetic struggles particularly.

We stan this gremlin.

#3: PEARL, STEVEN UNIVERSE

When I was younger, I never could relate to her. But, as I get older, I find myself really understanding where she's coming from. I'm mainly putting her here because I think she's definitely high-functioning, she presents a lot of symptoms imo.

#4: LEGOSI, BEASTARS

If you've ever heard me talk about this guy, you know I could go on for HOURS on end about how I think he's on the spectrum. Some of the reasons are because he stims, he (seems to) have a special interest with bugs, and can't understand social cues (imo).

#5: HORDAK, SHE-RA (2018)

I should've added him earlier but oh well lol

When you think about it, he and Entrapta act similarly in a lot of ways; they just express their feelings very differently. I like to think it's the writers conveying differences on the spectrum!
