I'm an ex-anti, qtpoc, and sa survivor, and the fact that I want to participate in the #supportexantis tag but am too terrified to go off private and risk getting suicide-baited kinda speaks volumes about how useless the anti movement is
Like. You won't listen to the NORMAL people who don't harass people over fiction. You tell survivors that we're hurting ourselves or that we "deserved" what happen to us. You ignore BIPoC or any queer/trans ppl when we call you out on using us as a "gotcha", OR
You search out some random BIPoC anti and then only listen to them. You harass people who LEFT your weird social media cult to scare people from leaving. And you literally pretend that fandoms are "toxic" because of "nasty ships" and not documented cases of harassment and abuse
And those are just the documented ones. And now you've taken a tag that is, simply, meant to support people who are trying to heal from being in a digital cult that runs on white supremacist, fundie TERF rhetoric, and claimed that we're crying about faux-oppression?
Have people not considered that it's actually really fucking affirming to be a queer and trans Asian who knows they are welcomed into a nonjudgemental spaace after they did some horrible shit?
It feels really fucking good to be a queer femme of color who isn't being suicide-baited over which anime boys I want to kiss. We're already policed for everything else. And it means even more that people accept me even knowing that I used to be, simply, a bad person.
Literally, that tag is MEANT for people like me. It's for survivors who hated ourselves for developing certain kinks/fantasies, or just women/femmes looking to reclaim our trauma of living in a culture that tells us we must be pure and fragile sexy but never sexual.
It's for BIPoC who grew up in environments that made us police our every thought and think badly of ourselves if we even THINK something "nasty" or unkind.
It's for literally everyone who's ever been shamed for loving a trope, like ABO or genderbends, and happens to be the exact group that that trope supposedly oppresses.
It's for all of us who have been told all this and internalized that shame and believed we were "fixing" ourselves and helping other people, only to realize how much this cringe culture subset is designed against us.
Fuck you. I #supportexantis BECAUSE I'm oppressed and literally everything I do is scrutinized, whether because I'm a QTPoC femme and people hate me, or because they think I'm supposed to always be a star example and educator, and I'm so much happier not giving a shit.
