stories like that don’t even surprise me anymore. I’ve been in a wedding planner fb group since 2013 or 2014 & a wedding planner had posted in there that she had to shut down her business bc she didn’t have the support system needed to manage her career & be a mom.

so in my mind, that translated to her husband wasn’t contributing to caregiving duties. of course women are embarrassed to admit how useless the man they married are, but that was pretty much her situation.

men that end up with career oriented women really don’t value women having a career, especially when they go out of their way to interfere with you getting your work done & portray your career as not important by making passive aggressive comments about it.

you couldn’t possibly value a woman having a career when you try to guilt trip a woman by saying “she’s not paying attention to the kids”. & as a woman, the first thing that shouldn’t come to mind is oh let me give up my career for the “benefit of the family”.

& I’ve noticed men tend to do this with women who start a business & work from home, even when you’re making more $ than he is. they still expect you to partake in caregiving duties during your work hours. it’s ridiculous.

let’s be honest, a lot of these men can’t even afford to support a stay at home wife & kids on their income. too many of y’all wanna enforce these patriarchal norms in your household but don’t have patriarchy money or resources to make it happen.

to give up an income when your man not even working cause he refuse to be a caregiver, like I truly do not understand. this is why I will never be in awe when I hear men talk about wanting kids, cause the majority end up becoming incompetent af when the babies are born.

it’s really hard for me to feel empathy for women sometimes because y’all really are the cause of your own demise sometimes. y’all get on here all the time talking about how you ruined your life all because you were super pressed to become a wife & mom, keep a man around, etc.

this shit y’all put up with to be in the presence of the logical gender. they don’t even slap like that tbh. aren’t y’all tired? cause I’m tired on your behalf man for real. something gotta change for real.

& just when this story couldn’t get worse, now her employees are out of a job during this pandemic due to her poor decision making. her MARGINALIZED employees, a demographic who already face enough barriers pursuing a career in tech due to the gatekeeping.

what a poor leader you have to be to not prioritize your employees during such a critical time. why would anyone wanna work under your leadership at this point? you prioritized a man’s interest over your employees who rely on you for a paycheck. omfg.
