What are the lessons you’ve learnt from the pandemic so far? Here’s my growing list:
1. Always hv min 6 months’ expenses saved up;
2. Technology must be embraced in professional life;
3. Nothing can replace physical human interaction. No amount of txt msging/zoom can for me;
4. Filling my life w/ constant distractions was my way of running away fr problems which existed a long time ago. If you keep shit in for too long, it will eventually erupt & turn into a shit storm;
5. Everyone has their own struggles even if they don’t talk bout them;
6. It’s important to hv the difficult conversations as soon as the problem/issue presents itself;
7. E-commerce is the future;
8. Opportunities can still come knocking on your door in a pandemic;
9. I have options;
10. I have great friends;
11. Be careful w/ who you seek advice fr. While most ppl hv no malice, a lot of ppl see things based on their own limitations & degree of risk aversion. Their limitations & level of risk aversion are not the same as mine;
12. Some ppl will only hold you back. Let them go;
13. I still haven’t seen it all. I crave new perspectives & this is ok. I don’t need to settle down yet;
14. Everything is temporary. This too shall pass. As cliche as it may sound, I’d like to remind myself that change is the only certainty in life;
15. I’m not a bad person.
