I know it wasn’t Pharaoh (from Genesis) that made the Israelites slaves to Egypt. But the only reason the Israelites was even in Egypt is cuz the original Pharaoh told Joseph to bring his crew so they wouldn’t die/suffer during the famine!!!!

I had to google before I tweeted this cuz I was a bit lost as I started typing it all out. I was today years old when I learned that Pharaoh isn’t the name of the person, it’s the title for the ruler of Egypt. So Genesis Pharaoh with Joseph is not Exodus Pharaoh with Moses.

I feel dumb for being a Christian over a decade and just now realizing that Pharaoh ain’t a name. I feel like I should’ve/might’ve been taught or told but wasn’t paying attention for it to click had to delete the beginning of this thread cuz boy was I alll the way wrong lol

History was not my friend growing up. We’ll get into all the things I didn’t know until college-now at a later date lol. Lemme go learn more bout this new Pharaoh and all he does to ruin the Israelites lives until Moses bust them up outta Egypt, like Harriet Tubman x Black ppl
