Galloway does not understand public universities, and doesn’t care about small colleges. This is an insider/capitalist analysis from the standpoint of big privates. Stunning on description and predictive analysis from within capitalist logic.
Obviously, we need to resist this future! I think without industrial style (not craft) unions, somehow joining tenure track, contact/contingent faculty with grad student workers, staff and campus workers, we have little chance of turning this dynamic in another better direction.
