this game is the most endeared to a chaotic violence shark you will ever be. they give it a backstory and a motivation and everything. i love the garbage eating murder fish

there's sort of a running subplot where you, a shark, go up against the mafia

the game gets a lot of mileage out of puns, especially cave based ones. Third Cave Feminism. I Spit On Your Cave. etc

a thing i love about Maneater is by the time you reach adult you're spending a lot of time out of the water, just like flopping across a golf course chasing people or bouncing down the street. it's hilarious
