Section 24 of Mental Healthcare Act says:
"No photograph or any other information relating to a person with mental illness undergoing treatment at a mental health establishment shall be released to the media without
the consent of the person with mental illness"

So...2/n
How did the Drs at the mental hospital release this information to the press/media? Assuming this was picked from the Court hearing, wasn't it Drs responsibility to bring this section of the Act to the notice of the Court so that reporting restrictions could be imposed?...3/n
2. The report says he is being held for a "14 day observational period"
There is no Section of the Act which allows a person to be kept in hospital for a 14 day observation.
A magistrate's assessment order is only for 10 days.
A voluntary admission requires Dr Rao's consent..4/n
A supported admission is upto 30 days & requires his Nominated Representative (NR) to give consent. Did he name an NR? If not, his wife/mother would be NR. Did they give consent for admission? His mother was previously reported saying he has no mental illness
Does he fulfil...5/n
all criteria required for a supported admission?
Why was his NR not present at the hearing and their statement recorded?
Has Dr Sudhakar been informed of his right to appeal against the admission to the SMHA?

Hope the CBI probe addresses these questions too. END
