A major thing I find fascinating about "critical theories" is how very similar it is to a dogmatic religious framework (this is not a jab at religion).

In CT, class- or identity-based privilege is the ultimate sin. Except in this religion, there is no forgiveness. đŸ€”
In Christianity or other religions, everyone is seen as a fallen creature at birth.

So too, in CT, everyone is seen as a fallen creature who has been corrupted by the societal power structures. There is no escaping it. You have sinned whether you realize it or not.
And yet, unlike Christianity and other religions which provide a path of grace and mercy, CT doesn't provide such path for the "privileged." No matter what one does for forgiveness, CT will take advantage of any admission of "guilt."

It's a lose-lose situation. 😜
