“Is Eid Saturday or Sunday?” [Thread]

In Majority of the Muslim countries they never saw the moon and therefore completing their fast tomorrow & celebrating Eid on Sunday.

But it is possible that some countries are celebrating Eid tomorrow due to them sighting the moon...
And the possibility of two lands differing in the sight is possible and occurred in the time of the Sahabah.

It is important to note that a person cannot differ from his land, so if a person is residing in a land where they are fasting tomorrow then he must follow them and fast
... as for if he is in a land where they are celebrating Eid then he must break his fast and celebrate Eid with the people.

It is not allowed for a person to follow another land if it’s different to his land...
So if your in a country where the people are fasting tomorrow, you’re not allowed to celebrate Eid with excuse that your following another country.

Here in UK majority of the people will be Fasting tomorrow so it is upon us to fast along with the people & not to differ from them
That is due to the statement of the Messenger صلى الله الله وسلم:

[Eid] al-Fitr is the day that people break there fast, and [Eid] al-Adhaa is the day that the people sacrifice [their animals]

And Allah knows best.
