We’ve gone to such lengths to make movies look realistic or correct or whatever and then you watch the fully bananas-looking ending of Strangers On a Train and you’re like hah oh right this is better
The Man Who Knew Too Much........ they said let’s not jump to conclusions, Hank can hang loose for a minute
All they talk about is how Jimmy Stewart’s character is a doctor and then it’s her career that saves the day. I think that’s nice
But overall pretty middling picture IMO. Not without its moments
Dial M for Murder... definitely short of greatness, but that visual of the guy falling backwards and pushing the scissors further in is one of those things that ur like “well I will definitely be thinking about that often for the rest of my life”
When ur watching The Lady Vanishes and the lady vanishes
I know even Hitchcock considered Rope a failure, and it is certainly a case of style over substance, but what style! That set just keeps on doing the damn thing. And tbh a pretty exciting movie. Gays are evil y’all!!!
