One day, I’ll do a big thread of queer-written, queer-performed, and queer-friendly country music, because we gotta stop drawing such sharp lines, like rural areas, agriculture, country music, homesteading etc. is only for straight white cis people. Our queer asses are out here.

The more we draw those lines, the more we make those spaces “safe” for hate, isolate rural queer youth, & cut off whole avenues of life for queer folx. Plus miss out on kick ass music + the chance to support queer + queer-friendly artists doing the hard work in hostile spaces!
