I’m sorry but if I was a commissioning editor, and wrote a deceptive piece about the ‘comical uncertainty’ of lockdown with my No 10 political adviser husband, and then let another newspaper make it appear this all happened in London, this would be a resigning matter too.
And here is Cummings himself on the record in the Spectator, about his ‘lockdown’ - he calls it ‘sticky’ but no mention of his parents, or indeed Durham.
Worse still, @MaryWakefield repeated her @spectator account almost verbatim on @BBCRadio4’s “Thought for the Day” explaining how her husband rushed home to look after her. But which home? @Ofcom rules apply on stuff like this https://twitter.com/carolecadwalla/status/1253970761028644864?s=21 https://twitter.com/carolecadwalla/status/1253970761028644864
Not to be overlooked. Number 10 MUST HAVE known that Cummings was (not quite) self isolating in Durham. But a ‘Number 10 spokesman’ lied to the nation and told us he was recovering at home’.
