Back before I started really diving into non-D&D TTRPGs, one thing that held me back was thinking that learning a new system would be just as hard as learning D&D. Not so! Even without taking 1 page games like Honey Heist into consideration, here's D&D vs 7 other TTRPGs I own.
I would recommend either For the Queen or Kids on Bikes as starting games. Both are extremely easy to pick up, the former because the rules are so simple and the latter because it has brilliant GM advice.
Alternatively, if you want to have a play around with a few games before testing them on other players, why not check out some solo TTRPGs on Itch? There are a LOT. Here's a nice collection of them: https://itch.io/c/574927/the-hermit-club-all-solo-ttrpgs-and-larps-on-itchio
Also, I make games! You can buy my games! Or I will give you games for free if you're willing to do one of the following: 1) give me feedback, or 2) trade me one of yours. Community copies are also available on most of my games: https://luciellaes.itch.io/
You can find a whole heap of fantastic indie TTRPGs on Itch. Some of these games are also on DTRPG, but keep in mind that designers make a much larger margin on Itch (90% vs 65-70%). https://itch.io/physical-games

Anyway, to close out: new systems aren't as daunting as you might think!
Thanks. Could you please explain it to me some more?
I'm going to interpret the deleted tweets as an act of self-reflection regarding explaining the rules of D&D to an ENnie nominated [female] game designer whose D&D supplements have sold over 10,000 copies, on a thread specifically stating that she has played D&D in the past.
Thanks for your feedback. Could you explain it to me in a little more detail please?
Thanks. I think I still don't understand. Could you explain it some more please?
