Twitter is a land where you gotta mute viral threads because people will literally invent words & project feelings that aren't there and argue with them.

It's wild.
Wanted to followup that I’m not talking about someone saying/asking something (maybe unintentionally) harmful & others educating them.

I’m talking about people making up straw man arguments or emotions out of thin air. It happens a lot & just wait until you have 11K followers.
EX: In March, I tweeted that many places were never “open” to disabled ppl because of access barriers & asked if ppl might remember the feeling of not being able to eat out etc & become allies for access.

Someone accused me of “enjoying” abled people being isolated ... um, no.
They literally projected this emotion onto me that I wasn’t feeling & certainly didn’t state anywhere.
Someone else said I was trying to guilt people ...but no, that’s a projection of their feelings because access is not about guilt. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Also love when people attach the word “all” to something when it was never said and make up whole arguments about it lol.
It’s truly exhausting.
