This was the most savage beating any White House press secretary has EVER administered to the #FakeNewsMedia.

A favorite trick of the press is deliberate obtuseness.

The press is told in plain language that it's safe to reopen houses of worship IF said houses of worship follow CDC guidelines.

"But what if it isn't safe? Huh? Cuz it might not be safe!"

So McEnany catches that question in midair and throws it back in their faces at Mach 18.

"Boy! It's interesting to be in a room that desperately wants to see these houses of worship remain closed!"

Then they all cry.

And THEN, they ask, "Um, do think @realDonaldTrump might pardon Obama for all the crimes he committed?"

Because as we all know, nobody on the planet is more deserving of a pardon that Barack Obama!

After all, he's perfect. No scandals.

Well, except for being utterly lawless.

Let's not bicker over who broke what law. This is Barack Obama we're talking about! Sure, Trump is all miffed about that whole illegal impeachment thing, but we should let bygones be bygones.

Now for the question that the reporter-punching bags kept asking because they're too stupid to know the answer:

Can President Trump override the states and order houses of worship opened?

YES.

You bet.

This is a FIRST AMENDMENT issue.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

We're talking CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS.

And in matters of constitutional rights, federal law prevails.

This is why Attorney General William Barr is also telling states to open houses of worship.

The issue with the SECOND Amendment is more murky.

BUT.

The feds have stepped in several times when cities have confiscated all guns.

This is the same. ALL houses of worship are closed. It's a blanket violation of the First Amendment.

When you get into LIMITATIONS on the Second Amendment, it comes down to words.

But there's no doubt at all here.

Houses of worship have been confiscated, which is unconstitutional.

Trump deliberately worded his announcement in order to make the press and the Democrats come out in favor of violating the First Amendment.

And they obediently did so.

HE HIMSELF will not issue an executive order. He'll order Barr to enforce federal law.

All in all, a MAGNIFIECNT showing by Trump, Birx, and McEnany.

Dr. Birx totally debunked the Lancet study on the supposed dangers of hydroxychloroquine.

She pointed out that it's the COMORBIDITIES that kill. Not the drug.

Birx also showed that the states still under lockdown AND RUN BY DEMOCRATS haven't gotten their COVID-19 cases under control.

Future press secretaries will study THAT press conference as a model for ruthlessly slaughtering your enemies.
