Logging on Facebook tonight was a mistake.

Hey fellow white people. We don’t get to tell Black people, or any people of color for that matter, what to do with their vote.

Stop that.

To clarify - that is not in reference to Biden. That’s been addressed by many people, who I agree with.

He apologized, which our current President hasn’t shown the ability to do.

But, he also shouldn’t have said it, especially as the standard bearer for a party that claims to be inclusive.

The first tweet in this thread instead refers to white people who are going into the comments telling Black people, who were pissed about the comments, that not voting for Biden gives us Trump.

Y’all don’t think that Black people know that? Dang.

How about instead of yelling at them you push our party to actually fight for policies that will help the Black community?

Fight for reparations. Fight for the de-policing of our schools. Fight for equitable school funding. Fight for Black teachers. Fight for Black lives. Fight to let Black kids be KIDS.

Fight. Fight. Fight.
