Dominic Cummings, coronavirus and lockdown – a timeline | The Guardian

“Cummings himself wrote: “At the end of March and for the first two weeks of April I was ill, so we were both shut in together.”

Let’s put that timeline together with Gov Guidance https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/may/22/dominic-cummings-coronavirus-and-lockdown-a-timeline
Lockdown was 23rd March. No driving g around the country for ordinary folks.

27 March : Announced Johnson and Hancock had CV and Cummings seen dashing off.

His wife Mary in interview said she got sick first and Dom did rush hime to look after her, but he got sick the next day
The dash home was on a Friday and Dom got sick “over the weekend”, according to Downing Street.

By 31st March Durham Constabulary confirmed that “the individual in question was self isolating”

So he and Mary and son must have driven up somewhere between Sat 28th and Tues 31st
Well that is in breach of lockdown

But also very specifically in breach of Gov instructions (Johnson’s words) to stay at home

Particularly if symptomatic ALL members of the household should stay at home and NOT LEAVE FOR 14 DAYS.

In breach of that too

Writing about her husband’s condition, his wife Mary Wakefield said: “Dom couldn’t get out of bed. Day in, day out for 10 days he lay doggo with a high fever and spasms.

Yet on 5th April he was out in the garden with his son running around to ABBA.

That isn’t even 10 days
And, somehow, despite the fever and spasms making him bed bound for 10 days and Mary being so sick he had to rush home to look after her they all managed to drive 250 miles to Durham.

Remarkable.
And all so the very people who are supposed to be shielded could look after the 4 yr old who was supposed to be in 14 day isolation.

Prime Minister’s personal instructions.

Neither his account nor hers mentioned a trip to Durham.

They are taking the piss.
H/T @jneill for this. Cummings travelled up from badly infected London to Durham that v soon afterwards was one of the worst hit local authorities.

One if the reasons one is supposed to stay at home.
Here is the clip of Johnson saying you shouldn’t taking children to visit or be left with grandparents on 18 March

I mean. Johnson’s Dad took it so seriously he hightailed I’m down to the SW (in breach of lockdown)when he heard his son was seriously ill

And, to keep the evidence together, Mary Wakefield’s interviewing with Radio 4, saying how sick Cummings was, bedridden for 10 days, worried if he would need ICU. No mention of the 250 drive to Durham or grandparents. Of course.
