I had a sort of mini-epiphany today. I'm wondering if we are explaining it wrong. Not that what we're saying about bitcoin is wrong, but perhaps that's not what newbs need to hear. Maybe they do get bitcoin but they're afraid of anarchy? I'm uncertain, but my thoughts to follow:
I'm an anarchist who's pro-government... That's hard to wrap your head around that oxymoron. Anarchy typically means no government. But natural services will form because of division of labor, it's too hard for one individual to master everything they need in life...
So I think there will be governments, the difference is that they'll be voluntary. I should prolly take a step back for the newbs. Imagine there is no way to take your money via taxes or monetary inflation. Now there's a giant void in services...
Roads are in a terrible state potholes galore and everyone is too greedy to voluntarily pay to fix them because they don't want to pay while others don't and get to use them on their dime. So some smart person comes and provides a pay as you use ipass system and fixes the roads..
In this scenario only people who value roads pay for them. Pedestrians who don't use the roads don't. Imagine not having kids and getting to keep your money that would have went to funding schools...
you care about safety nets for when you're unemployed... But now you get to keep an extra 14% of your income that went to FICA taxes you can now invest that money for said rainy day and you don't have to worry about people who overuse unemployment...
but what about the police? Me, I only need Mr Smith & Mrs Wesson. But maybe you're not as assertive as me, do airports have security, how about banks? You want to live in that type of neighborhood pay a VOLUNTARY tax for a security force, or don't and they ignore your property...
Now if you're starting to see how this plays out, there's only one way to stop the current governments where you pay for EVERY service even the ones you don't utilize. And that's to bankrupt the current system...
And that can only be done, when no one wants the money that the current system can make more of at will. And the only way to make people not want that money is if there's one that constantly gains purchasing power #bitcoin .
