Not even being provocative, sometime in the not-too-distant future we will see a band of disaffected American men build a small private army and successfully conquer a non-trivial portion of Africa for fun and profit.
As America goes down the tubes, intrepid young men will look for greener pastures (as they always have). Africa is beautiful, interesting, and huge swaths are more or less ungoverned.

You don't see bands of American men trying to conquer parts of Africa now, so why will we soon?
China is currently beginning to conquer Africa, plain & simple.

Once this becomes common knowledge in America, Americans will perceive the idea of "going to get some land in Africa" very differently than they do right now.
If I said, "I'm going to Africa to build my own community somewhere free & beautiful," you'd say "that's insane & evil."

But when Americans learn China is conquering Africa, it'll have a chic progressive vibe. Like the Peace Corps.

If you review the tweets in this thread I never once said, or even implied, that this phenomenon will be a good thing!

I've just developed a formula for making disinterested observations get attention.

I have no opinions on politics or morality, I just say what seems true.
