There's a deep toxicity in the Kiteman fandom. "He is good and kind" therefore"Kiteman deserves Poison Ivy".
Poison Ivy is not an object though. Does she love him? I don't think so. So far she has abandoned him for Harley at every chance as a running joke.

You should be Good. Kind. Polite. But this doesn't mean that a man or woman will be in the end as an award. Love does not work like that. Toxic relationships may appear happy from the outside. But it's emotionally drowning. The show brings this point multiple times.

Kiteman is a good guy, genuinely cares for Ivy and treats her well. But it's an automatic response. He does everything possible to get married. His whole point is to live a pre programmed life based on what he thinks is the best. He has planned everything beforehand.

The joke is that everything he has planned ends up a being a failure. NOT because he is a bad person. But because life (like love) is unexpected and chaotic. The essence of life is to be unexpected. To embrace the random. True love is chaos.

A part of the Kiteman fandom reminds me of a toxic ex I had. Wanted the best for me, wanted me to be happy, to feel good. While I was slowly succumbing into what I now know were early symptoms of depression. Harley/Ivy shippers please be patient. Everything will turn fine.

Poison Ivy will not marry Kiteman. Not because he is a toxic person. No, he is a good guy. But what he considers as a happy life is toxic for Poison Ivy. A sheltered life with no excitement. For some this may be good. But it's not for Ivy.

And in the end this is the best advice I can give to Kiteman fans: Hell Yeah, be good to others. But don't expect a prize wife or husband as an award. Don't expect others to change for you. Love is about acceptance of who you are and who the person you love is.

Love is about being selfish together.

And one last thing to specific Kiteman fans: Do you honestly think that gay bashing and accusing"feminist sjw propaganda" in the comments of every video will help?

The point of the show is that having flaws is ok and it's ok not to be perfect. Love is about having someone to help you. Gordon has Barbara. Ivy has Harley and Harley has Ivy and the gang. Kiteman instead insists on everything being "perfect" based on an impossible idea.
