While it is indeed true that mainstream news media has failed to cover this disaster, it must be pointed out that Bengalis are hardly underrepresented in Indian news media as they are usually the credible journalists. Their voices are all the more essential now!

This thread isn’t meant to belittle the horrible tragedies many have had to face because of the cyclone, more so since it has happened during the coronavirus pandemic. This does not mean people start dealing with superlatives yet. ‘Terrible' means one thing, ‘worst’ another. Fin.
