I have a habit of telling someone I’m doing a thing n then never doing it again, so I generally don’t document the process bc there isn’t one;

but in an effort to avoid that n document anyway: I’ve been enjoying watching procreate vids n decided to dive into actually using it

I don’t remember who this graphic designer YouTuber is, but I’ve been binging her videos / studio vlogs a lot

Attempt #3 wasn’t awful

Attempt #1 I’m keeping a secret because:
a) i think it’s really, REALLY bad and I’m ashamed of it, and
b) maybe I could redo it for a cool before and after comparison when I’ve been consistently using procreate for a few months/years. That’d be kinda cool.

That being said — if you know any other procreate / graphic design creators, please recommend some! I want to get as much use out of this $9.99 as possible and am having a lot of fun with it.

Procreate Attempt #4: @JagwarTwin / Roy English

I was trying to make a cool sunshine-y #Shine background but it didn’t match up with anything else so I subbed it out for a pretty Shine gradient

Also happy belated birthday, @JagwarTwin. Thanks for making cool shit, spreading mindfulness, and encouraging creativity. #ShineTogether is a great mood.

Procreate Attempt #5: #ishouldbehappy by @lovelytheband Thanks for sharing this piece of yourself I’ve been needing it lately

Attempt #6: a quick and random (and sleepy) selfie I took bc I wasn’t liking any of the ones I had. Messing with backgrounds (I made this match twitter dark mode) and learning more and more about layers/colors.

Procreate Attempt #7: a photo of my sister on one of our movie dates! Skin colors confuse me. Hands are complicated. I need to figure out how to make backgrounds transparent.

Updates will be coming to this thread this week—I have been quiet, but I have not been stagnant.
