Guys my borough asked me to run a camping trip exclusive to black women who have recently left the prison system because they're trying to get recent offenders into retreats and residential trips. Many of the women have never left their area, let alone left the city

I'm in negotiations but it looks like they're gonna let me take the lead on this project and work directly with black women who have experienced the prison system to curate an outdoor retreat for them and they're gonna fund the whole thing my heart is so full

This is what's important to me. Not only who I am but also how I serve my community. I'm so happy I was approached for this opportunity!!

I'm also so pleased I get to do this work in Brent, where I'm from, where I grew up. I feel so overlooked coming from this borough and I just want the BW who come from my area to know they deserve MORE!!
