Do I think bxg overanalyze things and it gets toxic sometimes? Yes, especially because some CPF really put too much expectation into the ship. They want proof at all costs and would be devastated/furious if the ship wasn't real or broke up.

I personally believe RPS isn't problematic, just like stanning isn't problematic, but BOTH can be toxic. Remember XZ's words: prioritize yourself. Be rational. Your life shouldn't revolve around people you don't personally know.

Some people get too involved in RPS, they say things like they'll stop believing in love if their ship isn't real... And if you look too much into their personal life to find "proof of love" you might lean into stalkery behavior, sharing pictures that should not be online.

It's bad not only for the idols but also for the shippers. I mean, you will get disappointed if you put too much expectation into it. I've seen ppl get legit angry at one half of their CP for being cold to the other in public. Do you even know if smth happened to take a side? lol

It is kinda silly to scrutinize every small thing that happens as if it is related to CP, not because the CP is bad. Who knows, they might really be gay and pledging eternal love to one another. But because the boys would have to be really dedicated to leave so much candy lol

Anyways. You know what I consider to be a really healthy take to RPS? RPF!!! Write and read FanFiction. Explore your imagination knowing it's imagination! Choose to believe your ship is real, but remember you can't confirm it (just as haters can't deny it ).

On a closing thought: it is still homophobic as hell to be angry at people believing an idol is gay/supports gays.
