All jokes aside, this attention Duggs is getting UT is so good for recruiting. These recruits are going to be able to get paid for their likeness, so social media presence is money. And no one has a bigger presence than #VolTwitter . VolTwitter will actually help save UT football

As dumb as it sounds, it’s probably why these elite recruits are always begging for followers and likes, fans are able to actually help in recruiting like never before by showing that they’ll support financially/verbally whatever sponsors these kids (if they play well of course)

So more retweets/likes from one fan base now versus another might mean more money for them three years from now

I mean if Barstool sells thousands of shirts with a fake coach on it, imagine how many shirts Vol fans would buy with a 5-star recruit on it

You can apply the same logic to Kentucky/Duke basketball etc, the rich will just get richer now that recruits can legally profit off branding. And yes I’m comparing tennessee football to Kentucky basketball relax I mean from a current social media presence perspective
