1) Neighbour's a bit simple. Not care home simple, she's fully functional but not always on the ball with social norms. In our block of apartments she made a few enemies because of this. They told me about this when I was on the ground floor and didn't need 2 know........

2)..... Apartment on 1st floor is available. Landlord struggling to get a tenant coz of the price says I should have a look. More space and away from front with traffic noise and desperate delivery drivers trying their luck on my window - hell yeah.

3)......Once I've moved I soon find out it's next to the simple woman with enemies. One of the reasons Tennant moved out. She's Somali and landlords son in law agent is Turkish. He's duty bound to look out for her, Qur'an and all that.....not a problem.

4) After examples of why the Tennant left (including assurances she'd be kicked out if she didn't comply that weren't followed through as her enemies readily told me) I decided the agent wasn't serious and tried 2 engage him positively. After initial friction it improved.....

Neither of us wanted her to fall into hardship. He engaged a couple of the Muslim uncles to guide her. 3 of them were the enemies. 2 weren't. The 2 had always looked out for her. Things improved....then got back to "normal". The noise again.....

6)....I decided to adapt. Even got an ear infection from dodgy ear plugs. Figured it out. Time passes and I realise she has a fella staying over and he's smashing. The routines of noise have changed. No biggie, I'm adaptable now. I'm thinking the caring uncles found her a husband

7) They back off. All is in order. 4 weeks later landlord turns up to tell her the rent for her spot it more for couples, then some other stuff happens and he's gone. Not sure why exactly. But the situation that inspired this thread unfolds. The enemies are oh so friendly.....

8) ....the uncles too but less so. Less involved. But the enemies are so friendly and helpful. Checking on her, meals together they buy food, she cooks. To her it's winning, she was cooking anyways......but it's how extra friendly they are after it became evident she got down....
