NC HS Football Coaches need to unite on this....If @NC_Governor allows college football to be played ....then you better allow high school football to be played. Please dont give me the colleges can test argument. I coached at Gardner-Webb (a college football program in NC)

we have as good or better resources available for our kids at WBHS. Terrible optics if football is allowed in Kenan or Dowdy Ficklen and not Rourk Stadium or Legion Stadium. Flip fall and spring, condense the season, whatever, but find a way to play high school football

A lot kids who play "contact sports" are the very ones who need athletics the most in their lives. They need the fatherly guidance of their coaches. A larger percentage of "contact sport" athletes are the very ones that our game saves from the streets.

So yea, I'm willing to step out and speak on a socio-economic issues. Over 30 kids in my program come from a split home or a single parent home. They want the nurturing guidance of their coaches, the stability our programs provide, and the opportunity to play WITH FAMILY.

At some point, state and national leaders need to start addressing the unintended consequence of this pandemic on various levels. Let parents and student-athletes make a choice to play or not.
