discussing the controversy around gabbie hanna (a thread)

third time making a thread like this so. i’m not intending to harm gabbie or her career in anyway. i understand she’s human and makes mistakes, i just want to compile everything in one spot so people know why she’s so controversial. please dm me any other info you might have-

let’s start with when she created and MONETIZED- PROFITED from- a video about a girl in her high school who passed from a drug overdose.

when someone called her out for saying she looked like she was blackfacing, and she misgendered him.-

-and this was her reply.

in 2011-2015, gabbie was called out a lot for stealing jokes. she would tweet them and claim they were her own. they were form her favorite comedians. when people called her out saying she stole them, she said she thought they were original. which is kinda sus.

these are some of those tweets. i’m pretty certain that these were stolen from comedians, too. and even if they weren’t, they’re still disgusting. she did apologize for these, but only 8 years later after she wa called out and forced to delete the tweets.

she promoted a makeup company that sold supposedly ‘free’ makeup brushes. the company never actually sent the makeup brushes, and gabbie placed the blame on her management. this shows she’ll collab with any brand as long as she’s profiting.

i cant find any receipts for this, but if anyone has them please send them my way. gabbie was apart of the blog squad from the beginning and then suddenly in 2018, she stopped showing up in videos. she even made a video saying ‘nothing happened’. obviously, nobody really-

-believes that bc the vlog squad was how she gained the most clout. so, people- went digging, and they found an account called @/JANNETERIOT who posted about liza and david’s breakup before anyone knew about it. it was very sus, bc thus had to be someone in or close to the vlog-

-squad to know. after more tiger, ppl found out gabbie’s middle name is- jeanette. the spelling is a little off, but it’s weirdly close. this also kinda brings us into the whole trisha paytas drama. this janette account only posted about youtube drama and gossip, and one day-

-quoted one of trisha’s deleted tweets saying ‘spill it or i will’.- trisha’s tweet was her threatening to expose the vlog squad, but this tweet was also from when gabbie was apart of the vlog squad, so it’s weird bc how does a random person w/ like three followers have tea on-

-the vlog squad? which leads us to- trisha making this video because, gabbie went to jason nash (vlog squad) and told him that trisha paytas has h*erpes. she’s only had ch*lamydia(??). this could’ve ruined her career bc she’s literally a s*ex worker.-

gabbie also took to asking instagram

and gabi demartino hung out w/ trisha one day, and gabbie knew about it. she texted gabi to see if trisha talked abt her.

but according to trisha, she never said anything abt gabbie when she hung out with gabi.

gabbie claimed trisha was blackmailing gabi. and then trisha tweeted these out, and posted to her instagram story the last two pictures.

trisha also posted this to her instagram story. she contacted her lawyers.

then basically gabi took to twitter to defend herself and her twin backed her up

this encouraged in of gabbie’s ex best friends, jessi smiles, to open up with a video. to summarize, in her video, jessi reads twitter dms between gabbie and one of jessi’s 15 y/o fans, which ppl found a bit weird. curtis lepore a*ssaulted jessi,-

-and at one point, gabbie was apparently ‘on his side’, or hung out wigh him (basically, smth along three lines of taking his side over jessi’s). when a fan of jessi (deana) tweeted abt it, gabbie found a way to make her feel bad and turn to her side. gabbie even went as far-

-as to share text messages between her and jessi which was completely uncalled for, and made ppl think she wanted to start drama bc she was still spreading stuff around.
