Managers. Yes you managers new to remote work.
DO NOT MESSAGE YOUR DIRECTS WITH:
* i need to talk to you when you're free
* hey, can we talk
* when are you free?
Add context or your report will spend the next hour worrying if they're gonna be fired today.

This goes for scheduling 1:1s with no context.
I have reports schedule 1:1s for this reason, and it scales better. It's as simple as: "Hey, no specific reason but I want to touch base often since we're remote. Do you have time and can you schedule something this week?"

I once added a room-booking to a 1:1, and my report told me later they were freaking out. It was a holdover habit from my last company, but I hadn't considered the implication of adding a "private space", often used to deliver bad news.
