I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how incredibly spoiled I am to be able to get on here and see a constantly updating feed of absolutely mind blowing art for free every day, especially during this time when so many of us really need the inspiration.

This is also why I get so bummed when I see an artist I love starting to get hesitant about posting their work—whether it’s because of unwanted/unsolicited crit (usually it’s not even actual crit 
) or bc of reposters or just general negativity... over time it wears artists down

And sometimes I wish I could just shake people who go out of their way to be shitty to artists because their actions can ruin it for everybody if over time an artist just decides it’s not worth it to keep posting on a platform, or worse, if they lose the drive to keep creating 
I noticed a while back that I was mostly just liking or RTing so I’ve been making more of a conscious effort to tell artists when I appreciate their work, and to give specific feedback on what I love about it in hopes that it will at least encourage them to keep making things—
Not everyone has the time or the energy to do this of course but if there’s a piece of art or a body of work you’ve really been loving lately I think it’d be really cool if you left a comment to let the artist know
