i have to get something out of my chest. these past few days, i've seen a lot of fans talk about how p*g didn't deserve their ranking and... frankly, you need to be extremely biased to think like that. p*g was not bad, you're only bitter your group ranked low.
i say this because i was not a fan of p*g until after the 3rd episode aired. i watched it all as a complete local and it was clear to me (and to the artists) how p*g mannerisms and control of the stage was unparalleled; from their confidence to the way their eyes attacked.
i understand how fans and non-performers may be tricked by the flashy stage, fullness of movements and packed routine and think that's what makes a good artist. but remember the boys there are dancers and performers themselves. they know how to look for the unique, for the fresh.
we see dance movements and think "impressive!", they see misplaced foot position. we see energy and they see lack of strength. we think "amazing" and they think "predictable."
they've trained for years. how many dance routines have they seen, done by how many people?
which is not me saying the other stages were weak or bad, but pentagon goes beyond a plain 2d dance presentation. they control the mood, the stage and the atmosphere. they leave an impacting impression doing the most simple concept. they have artistry.
your faves see that. they see that even before pentagon appeared on rtk and that's why they ranked them high. who are you blaming for the ranks? who voted for them? i tell you who: people who know what a performance is made of. and its not by simply following moves.
