We were paying close attention to @chicagosmayor announcements on Phase III today, and we’re so thankful that Chicago seems to have overcome its peak, even though there’s still so much work to be done, particularly in our hardest-hit communities. 1/
There were no real updates regarding transportation, other than continued confirmation that the lakefront will not reopen at the beginning of Phase III, but perhaps mid-June. 2/
We understand the precaution around re-opening the lakefront, which is why we’ve asked the city to make more space for people *elsewhere* in the city so that people can safely get to work or the store and get excercise or mental clarity – with plenty of distance. 3/
More specific details should be coming next week, she said, and we’ll be keeping a close eye on transportation issues. Remember to still send any information you have about problem areas to [email protected], and ask anyone you know to do the same. 4/
