My weezer album review thread. The main ones on Spotify. Were starting from the top, Black album. To be honest with you there is nothing I like about this album, theres 2 or 3 tolerable songs, but overall its very very mediocre, it really isn't worth the time, sorry boys.

Well, this album is simply a collection of covers. They are all competently done, and good songs so Ill give em a couple points for that. However these arent original weezer songs so Its another album you can skip

Oof, another less than stellar entry. Weekend Woman and QB blitz are honorable mentions, worth a listen for the hardcore weezer fan

I think this one is worth a listen, the songs range from ok to decent, and overall i think it could be called "not total trash"

This one really surprised me, a sleeper hit. The whole album is almost a return to form for our boys, and I enjoyed every song save for Cleopatra and Foolish Father. good effort!

Another underrated gem, Hurley hits hard with some catchy and moving tunes. Unspoken may be one of my all time favorite songs period, and Hang On hits especially hard.

This ones interesting, it opens with a bang, kinda falls apart in the middle and ends with Unbreak my Heart, a very cute song.

a mixed bag here, worth a listen, but its all over the place. a lil wayne cameo is pretty funny and unexpected, and it ends with Dont Want to let You Go, another moving showcase of Rivers' ability to tug my heartstrings with his songwriting

Honestly this one gets a lot of undeserved hate. I rank it up with red album in listenabilty, its got a handful of gems like My Best Friend and Perfect Situation. Haunt you Every Day is a killer ending as well.

Weezer tried to go heavy with this one, but most songs are just.. meh. its very reminiscent of the pop punk sound popular in the early/mid 00s but no standouts on here im afraid

Not quite as terrible as you might think. classics like Hash Pipe and Island in the Sun. Knockdown Dragout is another gem here. Again, they tried going a bit heavier in some parts with mixed results

What can I say here, both classic and stellar albums, through and through. This is prime Weezer and required listening
10/10 for both
