KATY PERRY ANTIFLOP DEFENSE. A threat about how you're ignoring Katy and comparing her with another pop stars.

You are so so careful about the charts that I want to start saying that Katy's last number 1 was 6 years ago. Beyoncé hasn't had a solo #1 in 12 years, roughly speaking. And she's still the queen of everything.

If you see another amazing pop starts, per example, Rihanna hasn't had success with songs like FourFive Seconds, American Oxygen, and BBHMM and she was at the moment everything, she didn't have any #1 at that moment and now you don't say she's a flop.

Remember Lady Gaga and ARTPOP, it was like Katy's Witness era, Gaga was literally sabotaged by everyone. The same thing happened with Joanne, and Gagas was sent through hell for not being everything they wanted.

Nicki Minaj hadn't had her #1 until Say So, and it's not her song. Her last chart successful chart song was Anaconda, and yet, she keeps doing her best. Even when she thought she was to leave the music scenario.

Taylor Swift hadn't had a #1 until "WANEGBT" even selling millions of copies with Fearless and Speak Now. It was after 6 years of career that she achieves a #1 and her last one was 3 years ago.

Lana del Rey doesn't even have a #1 song. And the statement she did yesterday was everything. Now closing the thread I want you to understand something... Charts don't make anyone talented.

Carly Rae Jepsen has only a song #1 and she gives bop and bop. She's working for the music. Not the charts.

Obviously it's hard to see that Katy is not the bigger as in 2016. And I think she has taken a good decision. STOP THINKING that Katy is expecting a #1 song now. Don't forget that she made Teenage Dream, One of the Boys and PRISM.

Why can't I dare to tell you that she made those albums if you know? Because it's her artistry that gives her #1's. It's hard work and talent. I am a songwriter and figure it out a song it's HARD AS HELL.

Also her persona and character, she didn't act like Katy's in 2010 because she's not the same, she went through a lot in all those years. And I really understand why she doesn't want to be the topper. She has made her own thing.

As Taylor stated in Miss Americana, female singers are reinventing themselves over and over again or they die. And you the fans are the reason why she's doesn't thrive now. Because you had that mentality and think charts are everything and they are only statics.

Also, you can't compare a feeling as a song called "I'm still breathing" with "Dark Horse" or you actually have seen yourself as that? Not and ISB isn't a #1 song.

For me as a music creator, the most important thing is writing songs that could inspire others, not songs about getting a lot of statistic.

And I'm sure that some people like Ariana Grande which is amazing will be compared and crucified the same way as Katy, and I don't want that it happens to Ari, but unfortunately, sometimes it is like that. I hope NO.
