/ Took it as a bit of a challenge to find a good variety of #Biodiversity at Midmar Paddock this lovely and very blustery afternoon of #BiodiversityDay. Gorgeous, mature horse chesnut and many other types of #trees. https://twitter.com/MidmarPaddock/status/1263834404935401472
/ Insects and crawlies.
/ Massive mushrooms. (Anyone know this variety?)
/ Blackbird I think visiting a nest in this maple tree.
/ Blackbird nest. 💕
/ Rare Maple suckers as I have read maples don't often sucker but when they do they send woody clumps instead of single shoots.
/ Various thistles 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
/ Variety of grass textures and types as well as many folk out using the community greenspace. 💚
/ The silvery colours of the grass blowing in the wind reminds me of schools of fish, or maybe missing the sea for so long has me seeing references of it. The grass was lovely in its own right. 🌿
/ Loads of life along the stone walls. Teensiest fronds I have ever seen.
/ Colourful lichen.
/ Wild roses💮 and brambles (Also my new all female 80's band name 😂)💮
/ Last but not least, Little surprises such as mint growing wild and beautiful and precious views from under the tree canopy. 💚🌳
