by definition, soulmates is/are a person or rather people who are aligned to your soul and can change or influence your soul in so many ways or another. its a powerful and dynamic bond that elevates people through synchronicity, balance and mutual respect.

they mirror you to some extent. when you look at them, you see your strengths, you are able to identify some weaknesses, even ones you did not really pay attention to. when you are together you set e/o alight, you just make sense together whether it be friendship or relationship

they usually leave you appreciative and often breathless. they set your hearts exclusively on fire, but to a balance that fits like a puzzle, honestly and totally in-sync which instantly forms an ideal romantic relationship. by definition, bughead are soulmates.

however, the thing about soulmates is that you do not only just have one soulmate, you have quiet a few. so by definition, a soulmate is not the most special of all since we can say that a lot of the characters are. what then is the best type of connection? a twin flame.

twin flames are like soulmates but with higher intensity levels. there’s a sense of extreme knowing, trusting and synchronicity and a strong physical tug of the heart strings and emotions when together. they both can’t simply explain how they can truly connect with each other.

with that definition, i can already say that betty and archie have that type of connection. but let me dive in deeper and show you why they are the twin flames of the show.

1) interactions between twin flames can be extremely intense and overpowering that they either back off without forming a romantic relationship or delve into a romantic relationship. in barchie's case they back off twice.

2) twin flames gravitate towards each other with great impact and intensity, sensing each other’s aura and vibe. they can both be authentic and real together and inwardly they speak through each other’s hearts without words.

3) one only gets one of them and for some it is not always rosy at first, it is more like a chase. one person is ready and aware (betty), the other is not ready (archie), although both are in a relationship, archie is currently chasing her (based on the previous eps).

4) for twin flames, nothing is perfect but the love they have for each other. their spark is never ending despite how hard it gets. it may take years before they've both grown enough to come together in a real way, but they'll never feel separated from them, even if they are.

5) this connection can leave you feeling unsettled, destabilised and ungrounded because it is a different connection than any other connections you have ever had. in simpler terms, you don't know what's going on.

6) twin flames are each others yin yang. the best way them is to imagine a soul being split into two. they are created from the same soul and one usually carries the females aspects and the other the males. before twin flames were created they were already called to be one. +

+ "origin of love" is a song that literally tells the story of how twin flames works! archie and betty singing this song together speaks volumes. they are telling us that they have found their way back to each other. this sequence solidifies that they have a twin flame connection

the twin flame connection will be the greatest and the most complicated love story one will ever have. the intensity levels are so heated and magnetic that it is very clear that they are meant to be together. thats why barchie is endgame material.
