More "beer with the guys" and patriotism type stuff which made it lose some of it's meaning. There ARE country artists that exist now that have a lot of meaning in their songs but it's rare, and the majority of country music now is singing to a predominantly white, male (2/?)

Republican audience. So there isn't that much of that social criticism in their songs anymore (ie 9 to 5 by Dolly Parton). Anyway sorry for this thread it's just one of my main interest and I like to talk abt it lmao. Anyways stream Pony by Orville Peck.
